Judith M. Medina-Rivera, DMD
Dr. Judith M. Medina Rivera was born and raised in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. In 2001 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine receiving the Pierre Fauchard Academy distinction for her outstanding academic achievements in dentistry. She completed a Post Graduated General Practice Residency (GPR) at the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After finishing her residency, she became part of the medical faculty as a staff dentist at the Ryder Hospital in the city of Humacao, Puerto Rico. She also established her own general dental practice in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico where she practiced for five years.
In 2008, she moved to Austin, the place Dr. Medina now considers her new home. In 2011 she created Life Dentistry, PLLC her current dental practice fully dedicated to Myofunctional Orthodontics and Orofacial Orthopedics.
Doctor Medina is a General Dentist with more than twenty years of dental career experience and solely working orthodontics since 2008. She has achieved extensive continuing education programs in the disciplines of functional orthodontics, facial orthopedics, orthotropics, TMJ disorders, orofacial myology therapy, myofunctional orthodontics, ALF orthodontics, nutrition, functional medicine, breathing correction and craniosacral therapy. She is a Fellow Member and Senior Certified Dental Instructor of the International Association for Orthodontics and member of the Institute for Functional Medicine. She is also an International Speaker and the first Certified Myobrace Provider in the city of Austin.
Out of the office, Dr. Medina enjoys nature, hiking, arts, cooking, and music.
