When I first came to Life Dentistry I was ashamed of my smile and refused to laugh or smile infront of others. I didn't want to use visibly large appliances that would cause even more embarrassment. The Myobrace and the ALF appliances were the perfect alternative as I only had to use the Myobrace during the night and one hour during the day! The ALF appliance has delivered great and painless results and is practically unnoticeable. Now that we are almost done with treatment I am very happy with my end results and I am much more confident in my smile!

I did Life Dentistry because the alternative was surgery and I didn’t want to do that. It was really helpful and I got pretty much the same result.

As a parent I brought mu children to Life Dentistry as a more holistic approach to straight teeth. My daughter’s first eval everything was perfect. No need for intervention. A couple of years later her teeth started shifting and Dr. Medina really helped her. There is room for her wisdom teeth now! Very pleased. As a patient I had crossbite that was impacting my life and my eating negatively. I came to Dr. Medina and between the tongue exercises and alignersmy teeth are straight and my jaw is in the right place. Best choice ever!

Working with Dr. Medina has been such a fantastic experience. My daughter had very crowded teeth (and some were crooked too) and in using the Myobrace and the exercises, her teeth are now straight and even. I never would have believe it if someone had said that it would work , but it does! Dr. Medina and her staff are extremely knowledgeable and kind, and we feel very comfortable whenever we come in for an appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Medina and her services!

I started seeing Dr. Medina in 2014. I had read about myofunctional dentistry practices and had wanted to see the difference between them and regular orthodontic practices. I came in a total wreck. I was having obstructive sleep apnea, not sleeping well, extreme fatigue, foggy brain which in turn affected my productivity at work and my health. After almost two years of working with her and the myobrace I have successfully cured my apnea, improved my bite and tongue placement and have seen great improvements in my health. I highly recommend Dr. Medina and her myofunctional practice. The alternative to regular orthodontics has put my health back in balance.

When my daughter started treatment with Dr. Medina-Rivera around 6 months ago I had no idea how much it would benefit our entire family. My daughter's palate was very crowded and with only the Myobrace and corresponding exercises it has expanded to allow room for her adult teeth to come in. The dentist we went to before had already extracted one tooth to make room and wanted to extract another. Thankfully we sought an alternative to this outdated practice which is still the standard. Before when I would floss her teeth the floss would fray and break and it was a painful experience. Because of the expansion that has happened she is able to quickly floss with plenty of space between each tooth. These are the results we were promised by the friends who referred us. What we didn't expect is what an effect this treatment would have on the health of our family. We learned how detrimental breathing through the mouth can be on our health and I began doing the exercises with my daughter with a focus on tongue placement and breathing through my nose. I have suffered from allergies since childhood and have never been able to breath through both nostrils clearly at any time in the past. Since starting these exercises I am now able to breath clearly through both nostrils 90% of the time and my allergy symptoms are virtually nonexistent. This has also cured the persistent asthma that would occur each year when the weather turned cold. By doing the exercises with my daughter I have been able to better align my bite which was extremely crooked before and my palate has expanded without even wearing a Myobrace. I could go on and on about the other benefits we have seen but will end there. Needless to say, I cannot recommend Life Dentistry more highly. It has truly changed our lives for the better.

The doctor at Life Dentistry is incredibly friendly and very helpful. They make treatment a comfortable and fun experience. Very helpful with my daughter's TMJ issues. Always willing to talk to you and answer any questions we had to help her. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

My son, Samuel, has been seeing Dr. Medina for myo-dental treatment. He has impressive improvement from severe underbite to normal bite. The results from working with Dr. Medina have been very exciting! Before working with her, I got several assessments from other orthodontists who told me that I would need to get FOUR extractions. After some quick research, it was obvious to me that removing so many teeth could actually have a negative impact on my health by interfering with the interconnected systems in my body. I was alarmed at how, despite the widely available information about how extracting teeth can lead to cascading health problems, these other orthodontists were suggesting this course of action. I was relieved to find Dr. Medina since she implements a system that integrates exercises and appliances to transform oral habits for long term, sustainable changes. I love my teeth these days and I'm excited to see the results when everything is done! Also, her staff is friendly, kind and helpful and I enjoy seeing them on my regular visits to the office.

It’s been around one year and a half since I’ve been using the Myobrace® and the results from all the exercises, time putting into it, everything they do to your teeth, from telling you to doing anything they can to help you work with the appliance, is worth it! When I first started I wasn’t really seeing any difference in my teeth, but as soon as Dr. Medina showed me the pictures, I was amazed on the difference that had happened to my teeth. At first, my lower teeth were all out of place and ugly looking, but since I’ve been using the Myobrace® they’ve changed so much and everything looks better. It really is something that one should try; use the Myobrace® instead of braces! You don’t need them when you can be using the Myobrace® instead. I still have a couple of months left with the appliance and I can’t wait to see the before and after pictures. I’ve even told my friends to ask about the Myobrace®, and so should you if you are in need of some braces. Dr. Medina is very, very helpful with the appliance, but one needs to do what is told in order to get great results.

My son is using the Myobrace®. When we heard about this treatment at the beginning, we were a little doubtful, but we looked up for more information on our own and it gave us more confidence. My son started the treatment by the end of May 2013 and he wore his appliance without any problem. I was a little concern because I thought that it was plastic, and that it would be uncomfortable to have it on all night, but to my surprise, it only took him two nights to get use to have it all night long. On February 2014 they took him follow up pictures and we realized how much he had been advancing in the treatment. His teeth were aligned and there were even spaces between them. The bite was no longer over the bottom gum; we could see now his upper and his lower teeth. All has been possible with the exercises he has been doing that only take five minutes of his time every day. The consistency of the exercises and wearing the appliance, have been the key for my son’s teeth improvement and for him having a better smile. All it has taken is a few minutes of simple exercises, wearing his appliance one hour when he is awake and when he sleeps every night. I really recommend this treatment because it really doesn’t bother him at all, it’s not uncomfortable but it works really good and, without having to wear braces!

I had my braces for two years, and now I feel amazing! I remembered the first night I experienced with my braces, to be honest I just wanted to take out all my teeth. But after that, about the 1st month I could see the improvement of my teeth. I can’t ever imagined that my teeth can look like how it is now. I can actually say “I love my teeth” now. The week when I had my braces removed I can’t stop smiling. Thank you so much! I don’t know I didn’t now that my teeth can make a big different on how I look and also my life. My son’s treatment with the Myobrace has been fantastic! It has helped his jaw, his teeth position , his face profile looks very pretty. The Myobrace has helped him a lot in the breathing correction. I have two kids that had there braces done with Dr. Medina and I was very happy with the outcome and the friendly service. I live 20 minutes away but I wanted my third child to get her treatment with Dr. Medina. I am very happy with the service and work that Dr. Medina gives. The 20 minute drive makes a difference but well worth the drive for the services my kids get.
